An exhibition of Guizhou's achievements in poverty alleviation was launched at the Guizhou Art Museum in Guizhou's provincial capital of Guiyang on June 28. The exhibition will last until the end of this year.

The exhibition has six areas with more than 50,000 words, 3,000 photos, 51 videos, and 120 items relating to Guizhou's efforts, stories, and experiences in poverty alleviation.

Guizhou previously had the largest impoverished population in China. In 2020, all 66 of its impoverished counties and 9.23 million people were lifted out of poverty and 1.92 million people were relocated from remote mountainous areas.

The exhibition also showcased Guizhou's history related to the Long March and the story of Guizhou's 41 old revolutionary base areas shaking off poverty.

Hu Junpu, secretary of the Party branch of Tuanjie village in Guizhou's Weining county, who was named an outstanding figure in China's poverty alleviation efforts, was impressed after visiting the exhibition and said he would continue to contribute to rural revitalization efforts.
