Guizhou launches China's first policy to develop lithium battery material

Southwest China's Guizhou province recently launched a policy to propose a new development approach, industrial layout, main tasks, and protective measures to guarantee the high-quality development of lithium battery material.

Guizhou is the first province in China to launch such a policy. The policy will support the cultivation of enterprises and the attraction of major projects to build a complete industrial ecosystem for lithium battery material.

By establishing industrial clusters, Guizhou will develop a strong lithium battery material industry and become an R&D and production base for lithium battery material.

Lithium battery material is a new-type material essential to new energy vehicles and electrochemical energy storage. Guizhou attaches importance to the development of the lithium battery material industry and incentives competitive enterprises to invest in the province.

Guizhou's upstream raw materials industries related to lithium battery material are growing large, and some of its raw materials occupy a dominant position in the national market.
