Guizhou athletes to compete at Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

Seven athletes from Southwest China's Guizhou province will compete at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which will be held in the Japanese city from Aug 24 to Sept 5, according to the Guizhou Disabled Persons' Federation.

The athletes include four swimmers, two badminton players and one shooter. It is the first time that swimmer Liu Daomin, badminton players Yang Qiuxia and Cheng Hefang, as well as shooter Lou Xiaolong will compete at the Paralympic Games.

Guizhou will also send one swimming coach and one badminton coach to the games.

China will send a team of 251 athletes to the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Among them, the oldest is 56 years old and the youngest is 16 years old.

The athletes have reportedly been sent to Tokyo in four groups since Aug 19.
