Intl Mountain Tourism Conference to launch eight major activities

The 2021 International Mountain Tourism Conference (IMTC) and the 16th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, which will be held in the city of Tongren in Guizhou on Sept 26-28, will consist of eight major activities.

The opening ceremony will be held at Tongren's Tuanjie Plaza at 19:30 on Sept 26. Domestic and international guests will attend and speak at the ceremony both online and offline.

The ceremony will also witness the launch of a Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guizhou tourism cooperation alliance, and introduce Guizhou's tourism attractions, policies, and environment through art performances.

In addition, a tourism industry investment promotion event will be held on the morning of Sept 27, allowing Guizhou's cities and prefectures to showcase their tourism strength and sign tourism projects.

Guests will be invited to visit important scenic areas and tourism locations in Tongren and other areas, and learn about Guizhou's achievements in integrating tourism with the natural environment, culture, sports, and health care.

In the afternoon of Sept 27, the 2021 Dialogue Among World-Famous Mountains (Fanjing Mountain), with the tagline "constructing a mountain tourism where man and nature co-exist harmoniously" will invite domestic and international guests to speak both online and offline, and release related initiatives and reports.

Meanwhile, various tourism and culture industry presentations will be organized in Tongren's Bijiang district.

In addition, the 2021 Xingyi Mountain Tourism and Sports Equipment Industry Expo will be held both online and offline in Xingyi, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture on Oct 29-31. More than 100 sports equipment brands, as well as outdoor sports clubs, associations, and groups will attend.

Various sports activities such as camping, tai chi, hiking, bike racing, and marathons will be held in September and October.

On Sept 25 and 26, Guizhou-based media outlets will be invited to visit Fanjing Mountain and neighboring tourist areas to promote Tongren tourism to the world.
