Zunyi in Southwest China's Guizhou province reported one COVID-19 case and two asymptomatic cases on Oct 21. The three patients were all in close contact with Zunyi's first reported COVID-19 case reported on Oct 19, and have been transferred to Guiyang's Jiangjunshan Hospital for further treatment.

To prevent and control the spread of novel coronavirus, Zunyi's hospitals arranged for 16 teams to collect nucleic acid samples.

The neighboring city of Tongren, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, and the cities of Bijie and Anshun also sent mobile nucleic acid test labs to assist Zunyi.

From Oct 19-21, Zunyi's Huichuan district had sent 130,000 samples for nucleic acid testing, half of the total samples needed.
