The finals of the third China-ASEAN International Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held on Oct 25 at Guizhou University in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

As a key part of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, the competition has been held twice now. It aims to enhance communications between Chinese and international students, identify students' innovation and entrepreneurship abilities and enable Guizhou's universities to communicate with ASEAN students.

This year's competition attracted the participation of 123 projects involved in such areas as new materials, artificial intelligence, big data, block chain, new energy, energy conservation, biomedicine, electronics information, advanced manufacturing, tourism and culture.

After being reviewed by experts, 20 projects entered the finals of the competition, which were held online for six hours.

A project involving wastewater treatment in mines won first prize, while two projects won second prizes, three projects won third prizes and four projects received excellence awards.
