Guizhou releases list of top 100 enterprises

The Guizhou Provincial Enterprise Confederation and the Guizhou Provincial Enterprise Directors Association on Nov 1 released this year's list of the top 100 enterprises in the region.

The two bodies released the list at a news conference held in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

According to the list, Kweichow Moutai Co ranked first with 97.99 billion yuan ($15.31 billion) of business revenue and 42.24 billion yuan of total profit last year, while Guizhou Construction Engineering Group ranked second and Guizhou Power Grid Co was third.

The total business revenue of the 100 enterprises was 909.41 billion yuan, contributing 51 percent to Guizhou's GDP in 2020. The total paid tax was 75.52 billion yuan, bringing in 69 percent of Guizhou's tax revenue last year.

Among the 100 enterprises, 45 were manufacturers, which was the same as last year. Meanwhile, the number of enterprises related to the service industries – such as big data, modern energy and medicine – reportedly increased in the latest list.

In addition, 42 out of the 100 enterprises were private companies. The top three private enterprises were Guizhou Tongyuan Investment Co, Guizhou International Commodity Trading Center and Zhongtian Finance Group Co.
