Guizhou's foreign trade booms in January-October

According to Guiyang Customs, Southwest China's Guizhou province raked in 51.2 billion yuan ($8.02 billion) from foreign trade in goods during the first 10 months of this year, which is an increase of 19.8 percent year on year.

Among all the cities and prefectures, Guiyang's foreign trade in goods was 40.71 billion yuan, which is 79.5 percent of Guizhou's total, and ranked first in foreign trade value. Liupanshui city had the highest growth rate of 194.3 percent year on year in foreign trade, followed by Tongren with a growth rate of 125.1 percent.

From January to October, Guizhou's three free trade zones in Guiyang, Guian and Zunyi had a total foreign trade value of 6.37 billion yuan, which is an increase of 44.2 percent year on year. The foreign trade value of processing trade in the three free trade zones totaled 4.76 billion yuan, an increase of 107.4 percent year on year, and occupied 74.7 percent of the total foreign trade value in Guizhou's foreign trade zones.

During the same period, 38.08 billion yuan of foreign trade consisted of general trade, which is an increase of 7.9 percent year on year, 8.22 billion yuan consisted of processing trade, a year-on-year increase of 56.3 percent, and 2.32 billion yuan consisted of bonded logistics, an increase of 59.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Guizhou's private companies earned 29.35 billion yuan in foreign trade, an increase of 10.7 percent year on year, and State-owned enterprises brought in 19.6 billion yuan in foreign trade, which is a year-on-year increase of 40.2 percent.

From January to October, Guizhou agricultural exports reached 3.01 billion yuan, including 1.23 billion yuan in tea and 150 million yuan in vegetables. Guizhou's tire exports reached 1.23 billion yuan of tires and guitar exports amounted to 220 million yuan.
