Guizhou maximizes efforts to attract investment

Since the beginning of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province has utilized Guizhou-born businesspeople, workers and high-level talents outside the province, as well as business associations, to carry out targeted investment attraction.

During the first three quarters of this year, Guizhou introduced 5,385 industrial projects, a year-on-year increase of 9.7 percent. Among which, 1,470 projects have contracted investment of more than 100 million yuan ($15.71 million) each.

The paid-up investment of the industrial projects increased by 33.6 percent compared with the same period last year, occupying 53.75 percent of Guizhou's total paid-up industrial investment.

This year, Guizhou released a three-year plan to expand investment from 2021 to 2023. According to the plan, the province's total newly paid-up investment from 2021 to 2023 will double compared with that in 2018-2020.

Guizhou has held several provincial investment promotion events this year, signing 867 projects and attracting participation from more than 1,000 high-quality companies.

To further optimize the local business environment, Guizhou issued a three-year action plan to upgrade investment services during the 2021-2023 period, and organized provincial, municipal and prefecture-level government departments to receive training themed around the business environment.

Guizhou has recruited 50 volunteers to supervise the local business environment and help solve the problems identified when optimizing the business environment.

In the future, Guizhou will create a market-oriented, legalized and international business environment to better serve market entities. Guizhou will also focus on the whole life cycle of enterprises, value their contribution, contracts, and efficiency. It will also try to make the business environment as convenient as possible and make the province a great place to invest.
