Guizhou's trade in goods surges in Jan-Nov

According to Guiyang Customs, during the first 11 months of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province traded 56.96 billion yuan ($8.94 billion) in goods, an increase of 18.5 percent year-on-year.

Exports were valued at 42.92 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3 percent year-on-year, and imports were valued at 14.04 billion yuan, an increase of 42.4 percent year-on-year.

Guiyang's imports and exports were valued at 45.15 billion yuan, an increase of 15.2 percent year-on-year and accounting for 79.3 of Guizhou's total.

During the same period, Guizhou's free trade zones in Guiyang, Guian and Zunyi achieved 8.49 billion yuan in total imports and exports, an increase of 45 percent year-on-year.

The import and export value of processing trade in the aforementioned free trade zones was 5.91 billion yuan from January to November, an increase of 79.8 percent year-on-year.

At the same time, Guizhou's private companies imported and exported 32.79 billion yuan in goods, State-owned enterprises imported and exported 21.28 billion yuan, and foreign-invested companies imported and exported 2.85 billion yuan.

From January to November, Guizhou's top six business partners were Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, the United States, Thailand and Japan. Guizhou's trade with Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership member countries was 16.14 billion yuan, and that with countries involved in Belt and Road Initiative was 14.32 billion yuan.

During that period, Guizhou exported 4.29 billion yuan in agricultural products, an increase of 23 percent year-on-year; 1.4 billion yuan in tires, an increase of 17.6 percent year-on-year; and 230 million yuan in guitars, an increase of 10.9 percent year-on-year.
