Southwest China's Guizhou province recently approved to establish a national integrated computing network hub in Guian New Area.

Guizhou will take advantage of its climate, energy, and natural environment to develop a reliable, efficient, and green data center cluster in Guian.

The cluster will optimize the network linking of East and West China creating an integrated computing supply system with technologies such as cloud network coordination and multi cloud management.

In recent years, Guian established eight large-scale data centers with a total investment of 13.17 billion yuan ($2.06 billion).

Guian also promoted the development of cloud service and software service outsourcing industries. During the first nine months of 2021, Guian's cloud service companies made 14.5 billion yuan in business revenue.

With the development and application of digital technologies, the demand for data resource storage, computing, and application is increasing, which requires the supply of data centers and integrated computing network system of data centers, cloud computing, and big data.

Taking the construction of the "Eastern Data and Western Computing" project as an opportunity, Guizhou will promote industrial upgrading, improve the regional big data industry, and provide real-time computing services for the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
