Guiyang prepares for Spring Festival travel rush

According to the Guiyang Railway Station in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Guiyang's three main railway stations are expected to transport 3.04 million people during the Spring Festival travel rush from Jan 17 to Feb 25, a year-on-year increase of 11.2 percent.

During the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, the Guiyang Railway Station is expected to transport 512,000 people, an increase of 7.1 percent year-on-year; the Guiyang North Railway Station is expected to transport 2.15 million people, an increase of 12.4 percent year-on-year; and the Guiyang East Railway Station is expected to transport 373,000 people, an increase of 11 percent year-on-year.

The Guiyang Railway Station will operate more train routes to meet people's travel needs during the Spring Festival travel rush. Before the Spring Festival, Guiyang's three railway stations will open an additional 38 routes.

The stations will also open service windows for selling, returning and changing train tickets, extending service hours, and arranging for more employees to avoid long waiting lines.
