Guizhou sets ambitious project investment goals for 2022

Southwest China's Guizhou province recently released its list and schedule for major project construction in 2022, which includes 3,347 projects with a total annual planned investment of 644.88 billion yuan ($101.69 billion).

Among the major projects, 2,648 of which involve new models of industrialization, new models of urbanization, agricultural modernization, and tourism industrialization, accounting for 497.47 billion yuan of the annual planned investment.

There are also 436 infrastructure projects with a total annual planned investment of 114.48 billion yuan and 263 livelihood projects with a total annual planned investment of 32.93 billion yuan.

The infrastructure projects include large reservoirs, renovation and construction of railways, extension and construction of expressways, airports, navigation structures, and power transmission and transformation.

The livelihood projects include new university campuses, medical treatment institutions, culture and sports venues, and elderly-care service centers.

The Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission will focus on the quality and profits of the major projects to ensure they are implemented on schedule and contribute to Guizhou's high-quality development.
