Zhu Shan is a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a lawyer from Southwest China's Guizhou province.

He has been focusing on lawmaking related to big data. During last year's national two sessions, Zhu submitted three proposals and one written statement calling on more big data-related laws, and received responses from relevant government departments.

In the past year, Zhu noticed that the country has seen an improvement in legislation, law enforcement and juridical protection in the digital area. With the approach of this year's national two sessions, Zhu has prepared more proposals for the development of the digital economy and data trade.

According to Zhu, the digital products and service models have been popularized, and a digital operation management system has been established, improving digital governance, cyber security, data security and risk management.

To adapt to the development trends of China's digital economy and promote industry digitalization, Guizhou should make more efforts related to data application and technological capabilities, Zhu added.

Zhu will also propose unifying the management of data trading platforms to solve problems related to data ownership, standards for data value, data opening and sharing, and data barriers.

He will suggest establishing unified trading rules and promoting unified supervision to improve data governance and the development of the digital economy in Guizhou.
