At the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held in March last year, CPPCC members from Southwest China's Guizhou province submitted 100 proposals.

After receiving the proposals, the relevant national ministries and commissions asked CPPCC members for advice and responded to all proposals in detailed written form.

CPPCC member Wang Nengjun had proposed national support for the Tongren-Jishou High-speed Railway for four years, and his proposal was finally approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources in 2021.

According to Wang, construction of the high-speed railway will improve the traffic situation in northeast Guizhou and west Hunan, optimize the regional railway network, promote tourism between the two provinces, and boost local economic development. All seven proposals he submitted last year were responded to.

CPPCC member Zuo Dingchao submitted 15 proposals at last year's session, all of which were responded to by the relevant national ministries and commissions and some of which have been implemented.

To help relocated residents adapt to their new lives, find jobs and make more money, CPPCC member Hu Guozhen proposed at last year's session that the country should provide continued financial support, vocational training and employment services. The proposal was responded to by the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments.

The CPPCC members have prepared more proposals for this year's session to contribute to Guizhou's new model of industrialization, new model of urbanization, agricultural modernization, and tourism industrialization.
