Guizhou delegation makes 104 proposals at CPPCC National Committee

The delegation of Southwest China's Guizhou province made 104 proposals at the fifth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which was held in Beijing on March 4-10.

With the aim of promoting high-quality development, Guizhou's CPPCC members proposed making development plans for the Chishui River basin, establishing a national demonstration center for green and low-carbon aluminum new materials, accelerating the construction of the Guizhou free trade pilot zone, constructing an AI security governance system for the digital economy, accelerating the "Eastern Data and Western Computing Project", and implementing a national pilot project for the data resource market.

The proposals also involved establishing a national rural revitalization pilot zone in the Wuling Mountain area, setting up supporting funds for relocated impoverished residents, promoting rural tourism development, and enhancing the development of talent in rural government departments.

To further the construction of ecological civilization, the members proposed listing Guizhou's carbon neutralization research as a national key R&D plan, supporting Guiyang's zero-waste city construction, accelerating the value realization of ecological products, and enhancing the utilization of livestock waste in rural areas.

The members also proposed further improving Guizhou's inclusive nursery services, supporting elderly-care services, setting up public kindergartens in rural areas, enhancing Guizhou's education for graduate students, preventing the rocky desertification of farmland, promoting the development of the private sector in West China, and building the Tongren-Jishou railway in 2022.
