Southwest China's Guizhou province recently received approval to implement regional standards for the digital management of supply chains for the first time.

The standards were established by Guizhou's big data application and promotion center, national think tanks and major industrial companies.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China will establish and promote standards for the digital management of supply chains, and start pilot testing in the aviation, electron and vehicle industries to improve companies' digital management capabilities.

After being approved as China's first national technical standard innovation base, Guizhou started integrating big data with 10,000 companies and carrying out big data integration assessments of more than 16,000 companies.

In 2021, Guizhou's index of big data and real economy integration was 42.5, achiving growth in five consecutive years. The growth rate of Guizhou's digital economy has ranked first in the nation for six years, indicating that the integration of big data and the real economy has become the main driver of the province's digital economic growth and industrial upgrading and transformation.

The implementation of standards for the digital management of supply chains is expected to improve Guizhou's standard system in big data integration and provide guidance for the digital management of supply chains involving mineral products, the light industry, new materials, aerospace and aviation.
