Special stamps feature Guizhou's karst landscapes

A set of seven special stamps themed around South China Karst was launched by the State Post Bureau on April 28.

South China Karst is a series of sites including Libo Karst and Shibing Karst in Southwest China's Guizhou province. It was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List as a natural property in two phases in 2007 and 2014.

Libo Karst in Libo county is home to vast karst forests with mountains, waters, caves, waterfalls and stones. The landscape is famous for its virgin forest, forest on water and forest on sinkholes.

It is divided into eight scenic spots, including Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, Libo Daqikong Scenic Area, Libo Shuichun River Scenic Area, Zhangjiang Scenic Area, Libo Maolan Karst Virgin Forest, and Guanyin Peak Resort.

Shibing Karst in Shibing county is an example of dolomite karst landscape in a tropical or subtropical zone. Its main scenic areas are Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area, Shanmu River Scenic Area and Mochong Scenic Area.

The stamps will be available both online and offline for six months. Stamp collectors can also view the digital version of the stamps on the WeChat applet "中国集邮邮票百科" (encyclopedia of China's stamps).
