Southwest China's Guizhou province recently released a development plan for new and renewable energy in 2021-25.

The plan shows that by the end of 2025, Guizhou's capacity to generate new and renewable energy is expected to exceed 65.46 million kilowatts, geothermal energy is expected to heat and cool 25 million square meters of area, and the production capacity of biogas is expected to reach 200 million cubic meters.

By 2025, Guizhou's utilization of new and renewable energy is expected to equal 40.48 million metric tons of standard coal, and the consumption of non-fossil fuels is expected to account for 21.6 percent of the province's total.
