Guizhou agricultural products receive national recognition

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Huaxi strawberry, Qinglong sticky adlay, Qinglong navel orange, Qinglong bighead carp and Zhenning bee sugar plum of Southwest China's Guizhou province were recently included on the national list of famous, featured, high-quality and original agricultural products.

The list is created by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and aims to explore, protect, cultivate and develop excellent agricultural resources from across the country, promote a larger variety of agricultural products, improve product quality, and create agricultural product brands.

Famous, featured, high-quality and original agricultural products are those that are produced in a specific region, have a certain production scale or volume, have significant regional characteristics and nutritional value, have a stable supply and consumer market, have high public awareness and a strong reputation, and are registered, announced and issued certificates by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

All the products on the list can use the label "national famous, featured, high-quality and original agricultural products" on their packaging.

The national recognition is expected to help Guizhou screen and cultivate agricultural product brands with regional features, promote the coordination of production and sales, meet public demand for safe, high-quality, nourishing and healthy agricultural products, and ensure a supply of healthy agricultural products.

In the future, Guizhou will continue to adjust and optimize its agricultural production layout, strengthen the quality of agricultural products, cultivate agricultural product brands, and launch more famous, featured, high-quality and original agricultural products through cooperation between companies, cooperatives and industry associations.
