The first test train of the Guiyang International Land Port was launched in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 28.

The test train departed for Guangzhou Nansha Port and Shenzhen Yantian Port via the Guiyang Dulaying International Land-Sea Logistics Port, carrying 36 containers of goods, including tires, steel ropes, and electronic products.

This April, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone started construction on the Guiyang International Land Port, which can greatly improve the circulation efficiency of goods in inland areas entering and leaving the port and reduce the logistics costs of enterprises.

According to the director of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, the successful launch of the test train indicates that the land port is now capable of international assembly, the issuance of sea bills of lading, foreign exchange settlements and tax refunds, and will soon open.

In recent years, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and Guiyang Dulaying International Land-Sea Logistics Port have successively launched China-Europe freight trains, and realized connection between the China-Laos Railway and China-Europe freight trains, boosting the trade value of goods to nearly $60 million through the construction of international logistics channels.

The Guiyang Free Trade Zone has also introduced comprehensive foreign trade service platforms while introducing customs, taxation bureaus, and banks.

In addition, the zone has signed contracts with Guangzhou Port, Zhanjiang Port, and Beibu Gulf Port to carry out business online, and has introduced a number of international logistics companies, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the Guiyang International Land Port.
