Wujiang Bridge, a key project of the Dejiang-Yuqing Expressway in Southwest China's Guizhou province, completed its main arch on Aug 15.

Located at the border between Fenggang county, Sinan county and Shiqian county, the bridge is 1,834 meters long with 504 meters spanning water. It is the largest span arch bridge of its kind in the world.

All parts of the bridge were pre-made in factories based on modularization and transported to the construction sites by boat on the Wujiang River before being assembled.

This approach can reduce the impact of on-site construction on the environment and help realize green and high-quality construction.

When the bridge is completed, it is expected to further improve regional transportation capacity and services, boost industrial structure upgrading in neighboring areas, develop and utilize local resources, and promote tourism development.
