As autumn approaches, farmers in Kala village of Danzhai county in Guizhou province seized the opportunity to harvest and dry corn and chili peppers during favorable weather.

Drying crops in autumn is a time-honored practice in many Chinese villages during harvest time. Farmers dry agricultural produce in their yards in front of houses or on rooftops. The variety of colors on the ground adds to the splendor of the harvest season.
