Mountain sports pushed in Guizhou

With its abundant natural resources and colorful culture, Southwest China's Guizhou province is creating a development system for mountain and traditional sports.

After years of development, Guizhou is now home to various famous mountain sports competitions such as cycle racing, running, road cycling and paragliding competitions. Industry insiders have said that by holding competitions, Guizhou's outdoor sports sprang to life and the consumption market expanded.

The General Administration of Sports of China and Guizhou Provincial People's Government recently signed a cooperation agreement to promote the high-quality development of mountain sports.

The agreement aims to make Guizhou a first-class mountain tourism and outdoor sports destination in China and the world. It is also expected to boost the rapid and healthy development of Guizhou's sports industry.
