Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been relying on its seven provincial and 32 prefecture-level rural vitalization pilot areas to boost the construction of green and livable villages.

In Louna village, agriculture development, vocational skill training and rural tourism have increased incomes for locals. Currently, the village's per capita annual disposable income is more than 16,000 yuan ($2,239.79).

More villages are getting richer by taking advantage of their featured industries. The spring water produced in Liyu village is sold to big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

To fulfill the idea of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” the village has attracted more than 10 zero-pollution companies to boost rural tourism and promote ethnic culture.

In 2021, the village's total tourism revenue was more than 10 million yuan, and per capita disposable income reached 16,200 yuan.
