In recent years, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been enhancing the application of big data in healthcare services and developing various medical treatment services such as remote medical treatment, medical information queries electronic health records, and remote consultation of doctors.

A 5G+preventive health management pilot project implemented by the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University and China Unicom was selected among Guizhou's provincial 5G application demonstration projects.

The project uses big data technology to monitor the targets' health data, physiological data and environmental data in real time, and provides personalized health management plans after diagnosis and analysis by doctors.

The data is collected by health centers, physical examination cars and smart wearable devices. Once any abnormal data is detected, the hospital can quickly intervene to ensure the safety of patients.

Meanwhile, the hospital is also able to explore the future development of chronic disease management through data analysis and make scientific treatment plans. Not only can patients enjoy better medical services, but hospitals can improve their ability to manage chronic diseases.

Li Haiyang, director of the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University, said that the combination of intelligent medical treatment and 5G will accelerate the development and application of remote medical treatment and supply high-quality medical resources to remote areas.
