Since the first freight train of China Railway Express departed from Southwest China's Guizhou province on Nov 18 in 2021, the number of trains running has increased from two temporary trips per month to four regular trips per month.

The route has been extended from Moscow to Poland, Germany and Hungary, and exported goods are becoming more diverse.

After one year of operation, China Railway Express has started to provide convenient, stable and environmentally-friendly international logistics services with the help of Guizhou's government departments, companies and railway stations.

Compared with sea transportation, China Railway Express is faster, cheaper and safer, according to Jiangsu Feiliks International Logistics Inc.

Zhou Jiqiang, vice-general manager of the Guizhou Multimodal Transport Industry Development Co, said that the China Railway Express can help Guizhou integrate into Europe's transportation system and boost the development of an export-oriented economy.

It can also optimize Guizhou's business environment, reduce logistics costs, cultivate new business models, and upgrade industrial foundation and supporting facilities, Zhou added.

Since the beginning of this year, ports in South China's Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region set dry ports in Guiyang International Dry Port, helping Guizhou participate in the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and Guizhou-Guangdong transportation channel.

The newly-established international trade and logistics systems of Guiyang International Dry Port are expected to help Guiyang become a hub of opening-up in Southwest China and enhance Guizhou's influence in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
