Guizhou Run Mountain Match concludes in Luodian

The Luodian cross-country run, also the final of the 2022 Guizhou Run Mountain Match, was held in Luodian county, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 18, attracting about 2,000 runners from Guizhou and other provinces.

Luodian, located in southern Guizhou, has a subtropical monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of 19.6 C, making it a good place for vacationing in winter.

The competition started from Luodian's Yuhu Park and crossed through a number of beautiful villages, giving runners the chance to enjoy views of the mountains and rural areas.

There were three running tracks with lengths of 50 kilometers, 26 km and 5 km, which passed through landscapes such as gravel roads, ridges and canyons. Chen Changjun won first place in the men's team 50-km competition with a time of 4:47:10, while Zhang Ting won first place in the women's team 50-km competition with a time of 5:36:48.

"It's my third time participating in the 50-km competition in Luodian. Today's weather is nice, and I can feel Luodian's warm climate when the sun shines on me. It's great to win the cross-country running championship for the third time", said Zhang Ting after the competition.

In recent years, Luodian has been relying on its warm winter climate and the natural environment to explore the integrated development of sports and tourism, and was honored as a provincial sports tourism demonstration county in December.
