An economic and trade delegation comprised of 18 companies organized by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce arrived in Moscow on Feb 4, kicking off the province's largest overseas business trip since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 18 companies are from Guiyang, Zunyi, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, and Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.

During the four-day trip, the companies will showcase their signature products such as tea, chili peppers, Chinese baijiu, and food packaging materials in Moscow.

He Jinkang, general manager of Guizhou Miaoguniang New Retail Co, said that the company attached great importance to the trip and brought four types of convenient packages, as well as chili sauces that have been exported to North America and South Korea.

In addition to talking with customers and learning about the latest trends in the industry, the company also hopes to establish partnerships with overseas marketing platforms and overseas Chinese during the trip, in order to lay a foundation for the company's future expansion into the international market.

In December last year, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce released its plan to help all kinds of market entities and industrial departments to carry out international trade and business promotion activities in other countries.

The plan aims to attract foreign investment, showcase Guizhou's advantage as an inland open economy hub, enhance investors' confidence in Guizhou's business environment, and boost the development of Guizhou's open economy in 2023.
