Liu Ying, chairwoman of the board of Guizhou Xinjishi Architectural Design Co and member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has been devoted to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the past three years.

In order to help SMEs overcome difficulties, promote their development and reduce financial burdens, government departments at all levels have launched a series of preferential policies. However many SMEs and investors there are still expressing low confidence in the market.

As an entrepreneur at a private company, Liu knows that SMEs' confidence in the market is essential to economic prosperity. To boost their confidence, it is important to stimulate SMEs' endogenous motivation.

Liu has collected a large number of stories about SMEs that have been able to grow in the face of adversity by visiting and investigating enterprises in many places. She aims to share these stories to help other SMEs find their own growth path and show more people how ordinary people grow in the face of adversity.

Liu suggests that an activity in which stories of growth among SMEs in the face of adversity are told should be carried out nationwide, so that more SMEs can find examples to emulate and boost their confidence in the ability to develop.
