According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, three data centers in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were recently listed as 2022 national green data centers.

The data centers are China Mobile's Guian Data Center, Guian Huawei Cloud Data Center and Guizhou Rural Credit Union's Guanshanhu Data Center.

In the fields of production and manufacturing, telecommunication, internet, public institution, energy, finance and e-commerce, the ministry selected 43 green data centers with high energy efficiency, low carbon emissions, reasonable layout, advanced technology, high-quality management, and strong representativeness.

Among the 43 green data centers, seven focus on telecommunications, 17 focus on the internet, 11 focus on public institutions, one focuses on energy, and seven focus on finance.

The selection aims to improve energy efficiency and accelerate low-carbon development of data centers, as well as help achieve peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality.

All data centers that apply for the selection should meet the national requirements for the green and high-quality development of new infrastructure. They should use intensive, green and intelligent construction methods, and the selection gave priority to those located within the national computing power hubs and national data center clusters.
