Suiyang county in Zunyi in Southwest China's Guizhou province has been feeding tourists from across the country with echoes of music in nature.
The first-ever Guizhou Cave Music Week was staged at the Shier Beihou Scenic Spot from April 30 to May 5.
During the six-day music festival, several rock concerts and elegant symphonies were held at Shuanghe Cave National Geopark – the longest karst cave in Asia – and Qingxi Gorge at this popular scenic spot.

Tourists felt the romantic atmosphere of ancient caves filled with modern music while appreciating fantastic cave and gorge scenery.
"It was cool to travel through the cave accompanied by live-broadcast songs," said Fang Haiyang, a tourist from Central China's Henan province, with surprise.
Qiao Zhenpeng, executive director of the live broadcast of the warm-up for the week of music inside the cave, said the original intention was to let everyone enjoy high-quality music in a natural environment. Qiao explained that the cave – a natural amplification field similar to a recording studio for professional singers – can perfectly amplify the music and add natural reverberation effects.

Sponsored by Guizhou Department of Culture and Tourism and the Publicity Department of the Zunyi Municipal Party Committee, the cave music week aimed to further explore and utilize the rich cave resources of Suiyang, increase the supply of tourism products and extend the industrial chain, cultivate the cave music art market and art tourism market, and promote the deep integration of culture and tourism.
"The event hired thousands of internet influencers to spread its reputation," said Yi Chuanbo, general manager of the operation and business department of Shier Beihou Scenic Spot. In his opinion, the music week combined fashion music with tourism and will surely boost the development of Suiyang's culture and tourism industry.
"Singing in the dreamlike landscape is really unforgettable and I hope that everyone can come here to have a unique experience," singer Ye Xuanqing said while extending an invitation to fans to visit Suiyang during her live broadcast.
For the opening concert that was held both online and offline on May 2, many well-known artists and new media influencers sang at the Shier Beihou Scenic Spot. Several famous singers interacted during a livestream of the concert, attracting nearly 3,000 audience-goers on-site and 10.33 million viewers online.
According to Liu Rui, deputy director of Suiyang county's culture and tourism bureau, the county will take the event as an opportunity to accelerate construction of Suiyang as a tourist destination city and promote the high-quality development of local tourism.
