A delegation of mainstream media journalists from Honduras, led by Carlos Javier Estrada, the deputy press secretary at the Presidential House of Honduras and director of National Television, recently visited Southwest China's Guizhou province, where they were given a tour of the province's famous landmarks and development projects.

The delegation was the first official representative group to visit China after Honduras established diplomatic relations with China. During their visit, Carlos and his team were able to witness Guizhou's efforts and achievements in poverty alleviation, rural vitalization, infrastructure construction, and the development of characteristic industries.

The group visited the Pingtang Bridge, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), the Zunyi Conference Site, Maotai town, and Huamao village, where they gained a deep understanding of the province's progress.

Carlos was particularly impressed by the value of infrastructure construction in driving the local flow of people and goods and contributing to the development of local tourism, agriculture, and culture. He praised Guizhou's bridge and infrastructure construction, which he believes has significant implications for poverty alleviation.

"This province is like a new paradigm about what we should do in our country. What we are lacking maybe in Honduras is the reformation that the country has to do with development in the infrastructure development, also in the respect on nature and as well the respect on the people," Carlos said.

As Guizhou's relationship with Honduras continues to grow, there will be more opportunities for mutual understanding and cooperation between the two regions. The visit has highlighted the importance of international cooperation and learning from one another's successes in driving economic and social development.
