The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2023 (Big Data Expo 2023) concluded in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 28.

The three-day expo hosted more than 220 events in addition to its opening and closing ceremonies. It had over 353 participating companies, both online and offline, with 328 exhibiting their new products, technologies, and solutions on-site.

Notably, an impressive total of 20 remarkable technological advancements, both domestic and international in nature, were unveiled. Furthermore, as many as 71 projects were signed during the occasion, with an aggregate investment amounting to a whopping 61.3 billion yuan ($8.64 billion).

A record-breaking attendance of over 180,000 visits were made to the expo, including more than 21,400 registered guests and over 90,000 visitors.

This year's expo emphasized internationalization, with 338 foreign attendees from 50 countries and regions participating.

The exposition hosted a highly informative and engaging professional forum that centered on the concept of international friendship cities. This exceptional gathering of over 100 guests from approximately 10 different countries marked the first time such a remarkable event was organized.

Aram Loveera, chairman of the Administration of Chaiyaphum Province of Thailand, attended the forum and said that Chaiyaphum has abundant water resources with many mountains and rivers. He hopes that Chaiyaphum can learn from Guizhou in terms of intelligent water resource management.

Using big data technology to monitor factors such as water volume, rainfall, and flow rate, Chaiyaphum can manage floods and ensure more effective management during the flood season. This will help promote high-quality urban development and use information data to benefit the people.
