Guizhou shines at 11th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo

The 11th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) was held from June 30 to July 2 in Macao. The Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism arranged for more than 30 enterprises from nine cities to participate, showcasing over 1,000 exhibits and promotional materials at the expo.

The Guizhou Pavilion explained Guizhou's cultural and tourism appeal through its design and layout. Each of the nine city booths displayed its own regional characteristics, showcasing its distinctive scenic areas, historical heritage, and cultural charm.

Guizhou's participating enterprises showcased a variety of unique Guizhou tourism goods and products, including silver jewelry, batik, Miao embroidery, tea, and Moutai products.

Ho Iat-seng, Chief Executive of Macao, and other officials visited the Guizhou Pavilion. Ho thanked Guizhou for its strong support for the expo and praised the creative and unique cultural products from Guizhou.

The MITE has been held 10 times so far and obtained certification from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) in 2021. It has become the largest professional tourism expo in Hong Kong and Macao.

This expo is expected to help promote the high-quality development of Guizhou's tourism industry, make Guizhou a world-class tourist destination, enhance its reputation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, provide a communication and cooperation platform for enterprises, and attract tourists from Macao.
