The 12th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo will be held both online and onsite from Sept 9 to 12 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The expo is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, and has the tagline "a collection of world-class alcoholic beverages provides an enjoyable life."

It is under government guidance with market-oriented operations, integrating online and onsite exhibitions, procurement and supply, livestreaming, and business negotiations.

The expo will include various alcoholic beverages (wine, spirits, beer, fruit wine, and more); materials, technology, and equipment related to the alcoholic beverage industry; derivative products of alcoholic beverages; alcoholic beverage industry tourism; and alcoholic beverage cultural products.

By showcasing the entire alcoholic beverage industrial chain, the expo aims to create a one-stop exhibition, procurement, and trade cooperation platform to promote the development of the wine industry.

The online exhibition will have seven zones, including an imported alcoholic beverage zone, Chinese baijiu zone, wine zone, beer zone, fruit wine and rice wine zone, health wine and prepared wine zone, and a comprehensive zone covering the entire alcoholic beverage industrial chain.

The on-site exhibition will have nine exhibition halls with an area of approximately 100,000 square meters and 3,000 standard booths.

The online exhibition is expected to attract about 2,000 exhibitors, while the on-site exhibition is expected to attract about 1,500 exhibitors.

The expo has been held 11 times since 2011 and has become an important platform for global alcoholic beverage industry exchanges, mutual learning, and cooperation.

Over the past 12 years, the expo has attracted a total of 18,700 domestic and international exhibitors and 275,300 visitors, resulting in 517.5 billion yuan ($71.2 billion) in total trade in the wine industry.
