According to the arrangement of the organizing committee of the 12th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently launched a series of new business types, projects, and products integrating Chinese baijiu and tourism.

These initiatives aim to integrate Guizhou baijiu with cultural and tourism attractions, and promote cultural and tourism consumption.

On Sept 1, the Guizhou Tourism Association released the second batch of Guizhou baijiu tourism areas, including the Songjiao Museum Tourism Area in Zunyi, Yanbo Wine Industry Base Tourism Area in Liupanshui, Yunjiu Scenic Area in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, and Bijie Wine Factory Cultural and Tourism Area in Bijie.

Visitors to these areas can explore the intangible cultural heritage of baijiu-making techniques, participate in outdoor camping, baijiu tasting and blending, and visit baijiu production workshops, among other industrial science, cultural research, and entertainment experiences.

Guizhou launched five tourism routes that cover these baijiu tourism areas and organized experiential activities such as baijiu culture exhibitions and dancing performances.

During the expo, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will also provide tourism consultation services, promote the development of immersive business models in baijiu and tourism integration areas, and encourage cooperation between major scenic spots and baijiu companies.
