Village Basketball Association competition finals to take place in Guizhou

According to the China Farmer Physical Culture Association, the finals of the Village Basketball Association (VBA) will be held from Oct 25 to 28 in Taipan village, Taijiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The basketball teams from Chongqing's Changsha town and Guizhou's Shangzhong town will represent China's southwest region and compete in the national finals.

Eight teams from Chongqing, Shandong, Guizhou, Gansu, Ningxia, and Guangdong were selected through regional competitions held in the northeast, southwest, northwest, and southeast competition areas.

Players who have previously registered with the Chinese Basketball Association, the Men's National Basketball League, or Super 3 League are not eligible to participate. Players of the same team must come from the same town or township.

The finals of VBA will feature a five-on-five basketball competition for men. From Oct 25 to 28, there will be round-robin group matches, ranking matches, and the final match, totaling 16 games. The championship match will take place on the evening of Oct 28 at 9 pm.
