Guizhou An Guang International Supply Chain Co and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos' Louang Namtha Province signed a cooperation agreement on a high-quality chili planting procurement supply chain at the 6th China International Import Expo on Nov 7.

According to the agreement, the company plans to establish a 30,000 mu (2,000 hectares) high-quality chili planting base in Louang Namtha in 2024. This will provide jobs to more than 2,000 local families.

In 2024, the company is expected to purchase 15,000 metric tons of high-quality chili, achieving an import value of over 80 million yuan ($11 million). With the support of the China-Laos Railway, bonded stations, and cold chain logistics, this agreement will benefit the people and local economic development of both countries.

Guizhou and Louang Namtha have established cooperative relations. In recent years, Louang Namtha has organized delegations to visit Guizhou on multiple occasions, further enhancing the cooperation between the two provinces in tourism, agriculture, education, and other fields, especially in the agricultural sector.

The two provinces are planning to cooperate in agricultural technology, variety breeding, scientific and technological training, and agricultural imports and exports.

Guizhou An Guang International Supply Chain Co is an international supply chain company specializing in agricultural products. It provides fresh chili and high-quality dried chili to domestic and international markets.
