Guizhou signs $25.8m import agreement at 6th CIIE

The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is being held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10. By Nov 8, the Guizhou delegation had signed 10 intention import agreements with a cumulative import value of $25.8 million.

The agreements covered various industries, such as medical devices, healthcare, and medical equipment, and involved countries such as Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

The Panzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from Guizhou's Liupanshui city signed an agreement of intention with GE Healthcare.

"This is our fourth time participating in the CIIE, mainly to introduce GE 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging equipment, which will enhance the technological capabilities of our hospital's medical devices," said Tang Lei, a staff member of the medical equipment department of Panzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.

He also mentioned that the CIIE provides a one-stop purchasing platform for hospitals, and that he is looking forward to introducing multiple international medical technology devices to meet the growing and increasingly diverse healthcare needs of the people.

Bijie Chinese Medicine Hospital in Guizhou also procured the Siemens digital subtraction angiography system at the CIIE. This equipment is used for interventional surgeries.

Hu Yong, deputy head of the hospital's equipment department, said that due to the gradual expansion of the hospital's scale, they planned to purchase the device at the exhibition to meet growing demand for interventional surgeries and better serve the public.

A total of 551 enterprises and institutions from Guizhou have participated in the CIIE, engaging in discussions and negotiations on the manufacturing, service trade, medical, food, and agricultural product industries.
