Guizhou's deputies to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) boarded a plane on March 3 to attend the national two sessions, which will open in Beijing on March 5 and 4, respectively.

The NPC deputies and CPPCC members have prepared to address major issues affecting the long-term development of the province and pressing issues raised by the masses.

They will offer proposals on further expanding opening-up, advancing sustainable mining, promoting in-depth industrialization, developing world-class tourist destinations, advancing rural vitalization, strengthening scientific and technological innovation, and ensuring and improving people's well-being.

One of the proposals that will be presented at the conference by Yuan Shu, an NPC deputy and Party secretary of Guiyang's Hebin sub-district, is related to people's well-being.

She hopes for the prompt introduction of sub-district management measures at the national level to strengthen grassroots governance. Additionally, she aims to enhance supervision over the production, sale, and use of mobility scooters for the elderly in an effort to address travel difficulties faced by the elderly.

Yang Shuo, an NPC deputy and an acupuncture rehabilitation department head at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has long been concerned about the development of traditional Chinese medicine.

He expressed his determination to further refine relevant proposals to raise awareness of the preservation and development of traditional Chinese medicine culture and contribute to the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine.
