Guizhou's deputies attend National People's Congress

The second session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) kicked off in Beijing on March 5, with a total of 69 deputies from Guizhou in attendance.

Among them was Yang Enlan, director of the plant protection station of Shuicheng district bureau of agriculture and rural affairs in Liupanshui. This year, she plans to make motions regarding the construction of rat monitoring points and advancing research and development of small-scale machinery suitable for hilly areas in western China.

Li Li, chairman of Guizhou Bouyei Yao Culture Development Co, aims to put forward motions concerning the preservation and development of ethnic cultures. Li wishes to encourage more young people to engage in the preservation and development of intangible cultural heritage.

Qiu Ninghong, a professor at the Modern Agriculture Department of Zunyi Vocational and Technical College, plans to suggest initiatives such as encouraging vocational colleges to introduce agriculture-related jobs through live streaming, accelerating the progress of agricultural machinery in hilly areas, and supporting State-owned enterprises in establishing innovative platforms for sharing germplasm resources.
